DDFH&B and Disability Federation Ireland joined forces to create a national MakeWayDay. The campaign raised awareness of how often people with disabilities, from all over the country, face obstructions caused by everyday objects left on the footpath - sandwich boards, bicycles, cars, bin bags, hedges, etc... We mobilised an army of advocates to share countless photos and videos on social media of obstructions blocking their way, making the case for the need for better awareness and consideration better than any one piece ever could.
